AhlulBayt News Agency: A prominent Iranian cleric has stated that the ultimate objective of the ongoing conflict is not merely the closure of the Strait of Hormuz or forcing the enemy to show remorse, but the complete dismantling of American military and economic bases in the region and the destruction of the Zionist regime.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Ayatollah Ali Akbar Seyfi Mazandarani, a professor of advanced jurisprudence at the Qom Seminary, issued a stark warning against the deceptive tactics of US President Donald Trump, calling on the Iranian nation and officials not to be fooled by his lies and trickery.
Citing the Quranic verse “And fight them until there is no more sedition” (Al-Baqarah: 193), Ayatollah Seyfi Mazandarani emphasized that the primary divine command in confronting the leaders of arrogance is to eradicate the roots of fitnah (sedition) entirely.
“If the root of sedition is not dried up, the treacherous enemy will regroup and, with new plans and greater power, will launch a surprise attack against you,” the senior cleric warned, referencing another Quranic verse, “then they would incline against you in one mass” (An-Nisa: 102).
The ayatollah stressed that as long as American and Zionist dens and military-economic bases remain in regional countries, the threat to the foundations of Islam and the Muslim Ummah will persist.
“Know and be aware that the ultimate aim of this fighting and war is not just the closure of the Strait of Hormuz,” he stated. “The ultimate aim is not merely to punish the enemy or make it regretful, because the deceitful, lying enemy may express remorse but will then plot another act of treachery, deception, and crime. Do not be heedless of the lies and trickery of Trump and Netanyahu.”
Ayatollah Seyfi Mazandarani clarified that the final goal of this war must be “the complete dismantling of all American military and economic bases, its expulsion from the region, and the destruction of the usurping Zionist regime.”
He explained that as long as these dens and bases exist, the enemy possesses the capacity to rebuild and reinforce its forces at the earliest opportunity following a ceasefire, potentially striking again with greater strength from air and land. “However, by destroying all these dens and bases, their ability to repeat these atrocities will be stripped away,” he added.
The cleric further underscored that achieving this objective is the true means of honoring the blood of the nation’s martyrs, particularly the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Seyfi Mazandarani emphasized the religious obligation of absolute obedience to the Commander-in-Chief, stating that all are duty-bound by sacred Sharia law to follow unconditionally the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei.
